Marta Górnicka received the International Theatre Institute Germany Prize 2025 for her Lifetime Achievements

The award was presented to the laureate in Theater Heidelberg June 11, and the laudatio was delivered by Professor Ulrike Has. The ITI Germany Prize honours, supports, and highlights the work of theater artists who work across national borders. 

With her vision of bringing powerful choruses of women to the stage in connection with often brutal socio-political realities, Marta Górnicka succeeds in placing people at the centre of her productions whose voices are otherwise barely heard.” (from the Jury’s statement)
